David Hockney born in Brandford, England, 1937 known for photo collages and paintings of LA pools. He studied at an art school in London then shortly after moved to LA in the 1964. When he first began creating any collages he first called them "joiners" David Hockney was voted Most Influential British artist artist in the 20th century. He was first recognized after his emu-abstract paintings on the theme homosexual love before it was decriminalized in England in 1967. The first cameras he began using at the time were polaroids and snapshot prints. David's work varies from acrylic canvases, destruction of proportion, linear, perspective, and color theory. His artwork emulates his style because he believes in being different and seeing things with different perspectives not just in a certain way.
While doing this project I started off by taking photos of things that I thought would look pretty cool if certain parts of the pictures were a little different or just bolt look so perfect. In photoshop I began with dragging out the photo from iPhoto into photoshop then would change the image size by holding down the shift button for the quality of the original photo wouldn't change. The first photo I used was like the background in some for starts. I then began changing up the image size to smaller and some bigger and some under and some over. I kinda just began playing around with the new placements of the photos to give it a little disoriented look.
